NATIONALS NEWS:

We will be kicking off the 2009 Awards donations by holding a raffle for a brand new Nintendo Wii game system, complete with an extra remote control and Wii Play Game (which includes 9 games) during this year's Nationals held at Purina Farm, Gray Summit, MO! We plan to sell lots of tickets for this awesome item! The final drawing will be held immediately following completion of Junior Showmanship judging on Friday, May 8, 2009.

We are looking for Juniors to help out during Nationals this year. We need juniors to sell raffle tickets for the Wii system (all the proceeds are going directly to YOUR awards program), help with the USASA raffle table, help hand out arm bands, and help out during the banquet (money raised for donations and all proceeds from the live auction will be going directly to YOUR awards program). The juniors who helped out last year did an amazing job pitching in and did an OUTSTANDING job collecting donations for their JSC program! Congratulations! You will see how well - when you see the prizes being handed out during the banquet - AWESOME!!! I hope we have lots of help again this year!

Please contact Amy Garrison at appledance@sbcglobal.net to let her know if you will be attending Nationals and that you are willing to help where needed! Any junior who commits to helping out during Nationals will be receiving a Nationals logo item for free.

We will be conducting our Annual Junior Meeting on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 1/2 hour following completion of judging for the day. New and current members are encouraged to attend! Be sure to bring your ideas & suggestions. We will hand out updated Companions, discuss the program and answer any questions you may have. We plan to announce a very exciting addition to the program for 2009! A hands-on seminar for handling and/or grooming will take place immediately following the meeting.

MAKE IT HAPPEN:

Your Junior Chat line has been pretty quiet lately! It's a great way to meet and/or catch up with your fellow juniors handlers. This is a great communication line to introduce yourself, meet other juniors with similar interests as you, post brags, ask questions or get the latest news. If you haven't signed up for the list, do so at usasajuniors@yahoogroups.com Let's make it an active list!

If you see any new Juniors handling aussies at the shows, introduce yourself and let them know about the Junior Program and all that it offers. Remind them that they must enroll by September 15th, 2009 to be eligible for 2009 year-end awards!! Membership is free.

In order for the USASA JSC to continue to award you with the BEST & COOLEST prizes of any AKC All-Breed Junior Program ~ it is important to start collecting donations for our 2009 awards. Please remind your parents, grandparents, Aunts & Uncles, friends and neighbors about the program. It's a non-profit organization in which 100% of the monies collected goes directly back to the Junior members for their year-end awards & achievements! Donations are made payable to "USASA", and indicate that it is for "Junior Awards Program". Mail them to Amy Garrison; 4979 N. Gregory Rd.; Fowlerville, MI 48836 Thank you in advance for believing in the vision of tomorrow, our youth!

Hope to see you at Nationals!
