The goal of USASA’s Public Education Program is to provide information and resources to those who want to learn about the Australian Shepherd.

We do that through participating in Meet the Breed events, local All Breed club pet fairs and other public educational events around the country, and by providing this site, which brings together in one convenient place information and resources about our breed and the general care and training of dogs.

If you are looking to add an Australian Shepherd to your family, you should read About Aussies here on our website. We provide information on the overall traits and characteristics of Aussies, important things to know about finding the right puppy or adult, finding the right breeder, a Breeder Directory and other helpful information.

The Resources section of our website provides links to online resources, books, videos, dvds, podcasts, etc. on general information about Australian Shepherds, training and care, health information and much more.

If you are interested in participating in showing or performance events with your Aussie, click Resources for information on how to get started.

We also provide links to sites on where to find upcoming AKC shows and events around the country.

Also refer to our Shows & Events Calendar for upcoming USASA Meet the Breed and USASA show and trial events around the country.
