You must be a member in good standing of USASA at the time scores are earned. Scores are provided by AKC. The Top 10 in all categories will be listed in each issue of the Australian Shepherd Journal. The Year-End Award winners will have photos published in the September-October issue of the Journal. Dogs must have earned three qualifying scores in the calendar year to earn a year-end award.
Obedience:
Novice A or B, Open A or B, and Utility A or B
All scores are recorded. The top three scores are added together to determine the base score. Bonus points are earned as follows:

High in Trial: 10 pts; Herding Reserve High in Trial: 5 pts.
Blue & Gold Award
(High Combined, Open B and Utility B)
This title may be won by dogs who have attained a UD title. Only those qualifying scores earned by competing in both Utility B and Open B at the same trial will be used. The top three scores from the Open B and Utility B will be added and bonus points earned.

Herding and Agility
The top three scores are added and bonus points are earned using the Novice obedience point schedule. All ties are broken by the number of dogs defeated.
